Short version: the images you add stay on your device. This page explains exactly what happens.

Your images

  • Files you drop, paste or choose are read by your browser and processed by code running in this tab and its background workers. They are never uploaded, sent or stored anywhere by AVIF Cove.
  • Converted, compressed, resized and cleaned files are created in your browser’s memory and saved through your browser’s normal download.
  • The EXIF remover and the support checker also run entirely on your device. The support checker’s test images are embedded in the page.
  • When you close or reload the tab, the images and results are discarded.

What the site loads

Pages load their scripts, styles, fonts and image codecs from avifcove.me only. No third-party scripts, fonts, ads or trackers are used, and the codec files are fetched from this site only when a tool needs them.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare adds its small analytics script to each page when it is served. It never receives what you type, paste or drop into the tools.

Cookies and storage

AVIF Cove sets no cookies. Your theme choice (light, dark or system) is kept in your browser’s local storage, and only if you change it.

Hosting

The site is static files served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse; AVIF Cove has no server code of its own that could log or keep it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites, including CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck. Those links open the other site only if you click them, and that site’s own privacy policy then applies.
